FIXFRAME LEGAL

Terms and conditions

Effective 23 August 2026

These terms explain the rules for using FixFrame to record and publish a repair job, respond to a job, or use a FixFrame account. They apply between you and [Legal entity name and ABN to be confirmed].

FixFrame connects job posters with tradies. It does not do the repair work. Please read these terms with our Privacy Policy before using the service.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

You accept these terms when you use FixFrame, create an account, publish a job request or place a bid. If you do not accept them, do not use FixFrame.

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. If you use FixFrame for another person or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to act for them.

2. Accounts and guest job requests

A customer can start a job request as a guest by providing a name and postcode. FixFrame may later ask for contact and job details before the request can be published. Some features, including tradie profiles and registered job posting, require an account.

Keep account credentials and verification codes private. Give us accurate account details and tell us promptly if you think another person has accessed your account.

Tradie profile setup checks whether an ABN is active through the Australian Business Register. This is not a check of identity, trade licences, insurance, qualifications, experience or suitability.

3. Job requests and recordings

You are responsible for the job request and everything recorded or uploaded with it. Describe the work honestly, review the generated job details, and correct anything that is wrong or misleading before publishing.

You must have the right to record the premises, possessions and people shown or heard. Do not film or record a person without their permission. Do not expose keys, alarm panels, access codes, financial documents, identity documents, medical information or unrelated personal information.

A recording can reveal a face, voice, home, possessions, address clues, documents and conversations. Frame the problem closely and remove anything that the tradies who assess the job do not need to see or hear.

4. AI summaries and estimates

FixFrame uses automated analysis to produce a draft job title, summary, transcript, likely trade and time estimate from a recording.

These results are preliminary. They may be incomplete or wrong and are not professional advice, a quote, a valuation or a guaranteed price or completion time. Review and edit the result before publishing. A tradie's inspection, questions or bid may replace or refine any automated estimate.

5. Tradies, bids and appointments

Registered tradies may view available job details for postcodes they follow and submit a proposed price, timing and message. A bid is the tradie's proposal. FixFrame does not set the tradie's price or decide whether the proposal suits your job.

Before engaging a tradie, check the person or business, required licences, insurance, qualifications, availability, scope, price, payment terms and any permits that apply. A preferred date or arrival window is a request only. It is not a confirmed appointment.

Any contract for repair work is made directly between the customer and tradie when they agree its terms. Those parties are responsible for that contract and the work performed under it.

6. FixFrame's marketplace role

FixFrame provides the platform and related job-intake services. It is not the employer, employee, agent, partner, insurer or guarantor of a customer or tradie. FixFrame does not supervise repair work or promise that a job will receive a bid, that a tradie will be available, or that a customer or tradie will complete an agreement.

References to a registered or verified user describe the checks that FixFrame actually performs, such as mobile verification or an active ABN lookup. They do not amount to an endorsement or a full identity, licence, insurance or background check.

7. Communications

FixFrame may send service messages needed to operate the platform, including mobile verification codes, sign-in codes, job notifications, security messages and purchase confirmations. Carrier or internet charges may apply.

Communications between users must relate to a genuine job and comply with these terms. Do not use contact information obtained through FixFrame for spam or unrelated marketing.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use FixFrame to:

  • break the law, facilitate unsafe work or infringe another person's rights;
  • post false, deceptive, abusive, discriminatory or explicit material;
  • upload malware, probe security, scrape data or disrupt the service;
  • impersonate another person or misuse another person's details;
  • publish duplicate, fake or speculative jobs or bids; or
  • circumvent usage, security, payment or access controls.

9. Content and intellectual property

You keep ownership of content you provide. You give the operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, analyse, transcribe, adapt, display and share that content only as reasonably needed to run and secure FixFrame, create the job summary, publish the job to relevant users, and meet legal obligations. The licence lasts for as long as the content is held for those purposes.

FixFrame's software, branding and original platform content remain owned by the operator or its licensors. You may use them only as needed to use the service under these terms.

10. Fees, cancellation and disputes

The current guest job-intake flow does not charge a customer when the job is published. Registered account features may use credits and may display paid credit packs. Any price and applicable checkout terms will be shown before purchase. FixFrame does not take payment for the repair work itself under the current implementation.

The operator's final fee treatment, cancellation policy and platform dispute process have not been confirmed. Until they are, do not rely on FixFrame to cancel a guest-published job, reverse a purchase or mediate a dispute. Contact [Legal and privacy contact email to be confirmed]. This does not limit any right or remedy available under law.

Customers and tradies should first try to resolve disagreements about repair work with each other. They may also seek help from the relevant state or territory consumer agency, licensing body, tribunal or court.

11. Australian Consumer Law

FixFrame's platform services come with any consumer guarantees and other rights that apply under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, right or remedy that the law does not allow us to exclude, restrict or modify.

Consumer guarantees that apply to repair work are generally owed by the tradie who supplies that work. FixFrame remains responsible for consumer guarantees that apply to the platform services it supplies.

12. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, each party is responsible for loss or damage caused by its own acts or omissions. FixFrame is not responsible for repair work supplied by a tradie, a user's inaccurate content, or a user's failure to check a recording, estimate, bid, licence, insurance or agreement.

FixFrame does not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. It may limit or pause the service to maintain security, reliability or legal compliance. No part of this section limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Suspension and ending access

We may restrict, suspend or end access where reasonably needed to protect users or the service, investigate suspected misuse, respond to a security issue, comply with law, or address a material breach of these terms. We will give notice where it is reasonable to do so.

Registered users can request account deletion through their profile. Some records may be anonymised or retained as described in the Privacy Policy. Ending access does not cancel a separate agreement already made between a customer and tradie.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service, law or data practices change. The updated web version will show a new effective date. Where a change materially affects existing users, we will take reasonable steps to give notice before it takes effect where required by law.

15. Governing law and contact

These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of [Australian state or territory to be confirmed], together with applicable Commonwealth laws. The final jurisdiction clause requires Australian legal review.
